“Hargrove Oliver & Parker is a Community – Based Service provider for children, youth and adults at risk for out-of-home placement, hospitalization, homelessness or incarceration due to serious emotional disturbance or mental health, substance abuse or disability. Hargrove, Oliver and Parker Community Based Services is designed to assist youth and adults in addressing issues, behaviors, mental health, physical health and other circumstances that cause risk for removal from their natural environment.”
PHILOSOPHY
Hargrove, Oliver, and Parker Inc Community Based Services’ philosophy is supported by society’s need to empower families that have encountered barriers which have impeded their ability to function and maintain in their natural environment to develop the coping skills, nurturing skills and self improvement techniques and abilities to enhance and improve their current sociological and mental health position to a point of stabilization.
Our goal is for each client to successfully complete our program, which is developed to enrich, encourage, and inspire each client to grow and develop into mature and responsible citizens. It is our vested interest to make sure that our program functions in a safe and nurturing environment for our clients to participate grow and benefit from the rewards of being a productive citizen. Hargrove, Oliver, and Parker, Community Based Services is licensed by the Department Behavioral Health Services (DBHS).
The goal of Hargrove, Oliver, and Parker Inc, Community Based Services is to prevent out-of-home placement or hospitalization of children, families and adults and to assist in stabilizing them through strength based strategies; to where it is appropriate to avoid homelessness, incarceration or hospitalization.
The objectives include:
- To increase children, youth and adults functioning within the community
- To decrease out-of-home placements, hospitalization and incarceration
- To increase the overall physical and emotional health of individuals and families
Our Services
Hargrove, Oliver, and Parker Inc. Intensive Outpatient Services Substance Use Disorder’ philosophy is supported by societies’ need to enable individuals and families who have encountered barriers which have impeded their ability to function due to mental health, substance use or behavioral crisis.
Hargrove, Oliver and Parker Enterprises, Inc’s Mental Health Skill-Building Services provide training and support to enable clients with significant functional limitations, achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the least restrictive environment
Hargrove, Oliver and Parker Enterprises, Inc’s Psychosocial Adult Rehabilitation Program is a non-residential program that provides training and support to enable clients with significant functional limitations to achieve and maintain community stability and independence.
Hargrove, Oliver and Parker Enterprises, Inc’s Crisis Stabilization Services provide training and support to enable clients with significant functional limitations, achieve and maintain community stability and independence in the least restrictive environment.
Hargrove, Oliver and Parker Enterprises, Inc.’s management team consists of James Hargrove, Vernon Oliver, LCSW and Dr. Dennis Parker. James Hargrove has over 20 years experience in finding suitable living arrangements for many of Virginia’s very low-to moderate income population looking to acquire a housing or modest living provision. He has trained over 1000 people in managing their finances and proper budgeting techniques, a tool of imminent importance to this population.
